BACK TO CINEMAS

As we begin to settle back in to doing the things we love, the WTW & Scott Cinema Group has been hard at work making sure our venues are even safer so that you can continue to enjoy new movies with a captivated audience. These procedures have been developed in line with Government guidance. When visiting the cinema, things may work a little differently for now - here's some of the core new policies and procedures you can expect to find when you visit us...

WATCHING A MOVIE

All auditoria are limited to a maximum of 35% of their physical capacity. Only alternate rows of seats are in use and nobody will be sat beside you.

PHYSICAL DISTANCING

While queuing, please keep 1m away from the person in front of you. Please be respectful of other people when walking to or from the toilets as space is very limited in these areas. Please follow staff instructions when leaving the cinema.

BOOKING & PAYMENTS

Advance Booking is strongly advised - the booking fee has temporarily been reduced to allow for this. Some snacks and drinks may not be available. Please try to pay by card or contactless where possible.

HEALTH & HYGIENE

Screens are installed at all service points. Please use the hand sanitiser provided around the building. Staff are regularly disinfecting all contact points in the building and have all the necessary PPE required in order to safely do their jobs.

Privacy Policy Update - 2nd July 2020

Covid-19 Test and Trace

Personal information such as your name, phone number, email address, confirmed date of visit at chosen cinema, and if you had COVID-19 or symptoms of COVID-19 (if the customer has reported this to the cinema), may be shared to the NHS Test and Trace service (“Test & Trace”) upon request. These contact details will help to enable Test & Trace to alert other customers that they may be at risk of contracting COVID-19 and direct their household to isolate to prevent further spread. Consent to providing contact details to Test & Trace are not required to place a booking but encouraged. Contact details provided are information concerning health but they are still personal. Consent to sharing data with Test & Trace is strictly limited to that purpose and would not be used for marketing or sent to third parties. The personal information described above may be stored for up to a month..

  • When you make a booking with us, we usually keep your information up to the date of the performance you have booked for (when our sales contract with you elapses).
  • With Test and Trace requirements, we are obliged to keep your information for up to a month after the performance date.
  • If we are required to do so under the Test and Trace Guidelines, we may use your information to contact you if someone in the cinema audience has gone on to experience symptoms of Covid-19 and we may also disseminate your information to the NHS Track and Trace team, for them to contact you.
  • The only information passed on is your name, email address and phone number along with the date and time of your visit.
  • You are not obliged to consent, and if you choose not to, we will not contact you, nor keep your information beyond the date of the performance being booked.
  • Under the GDPR, you may withdraw your consent at any time. To do this, simply send us a message via the Contact page to request this.
  • You have the right to complain to the ICO if you believe there is a problem with the way we are handling your information.

We are committed to safeguarding your personal information that you may choose to share with us when using our website, mailing list and other facilities.

  1. We promise:
     - To keep your data safe and private
     - Not to sell or pass on your data to any third party
     - To give you ways to manage and review your marketing choices at any time

  2. Personally Identifiable Information
In order to use certain areas of our website, hold a Scott Cinemas membership, and be on the Scott Cinema e-mail list, it is necessary for us to collect certain Personally Identifiable Information (PII) in order to provide the services. 3. How We Collect Your Personal Information
When using this website, we collect your personal data by means of an electronic form which you fill in with your Name and E-mail address. This grants you immediate access to the membership functionality. We may also have collected your data by means of a bulk acquisition of data from our previous website providers (pre-2011), Cinemas Online - if this was the case, we have audited all members to confirm that consent has been granted. We may also collect your personal data when you have booked cinema tickets and have opted in to receive further communications.

We store your data for as long as you hold a membership with us, until you opt to withdraw your consent by terminating your membership.

  5. How We Keep Your Personal Information Secure
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your Personal Data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed. We limit access to your Personal Data to those employees and other staff who have a business need to have such access. All such people are subject to a contractual duty of confidentiality. We have put in place procedures to deal with any actual or suspected Personal Data breach. In the event of any such breach, we have systems in place to work with applicable regulators. In addition, in certain circumstances (e.g., where we are legally required to do so) we may notify you of breaches affecting your Personal Data.

  6. Use of Your Personal Information
The information you provide to us, as described above, will not be shared with any third party - including people and data networks. Where you have signed up to an online membership account, we may use your supplied email address to send occasional, non-intrusive, promotional emails as well as weekly film times. You can manage these subscriptions online and can remove your data by surrendering the service subscription at any time. If you choose to use the Membership functions of our website, our system may remember some key indicators such as: the films you have watched, the time and date of your visits and what you chose to purchase at the concessions stand. We collate this information, so we can personalise the offers we may send you, and also so you can see your activity through your Membership history.
